[ There comes a point in every young man's life where he must venture into a panfandom scientific enclosure to retrieve his Navy uniform, in spite of his misgivings in regard to giant robots. Much like a new Pokemon trainer must set out on his own, but with marginally fewer chances of being struck by lightning.

Really, this is your run of the mill exploration of Luceti's village proper, complete with walking into buildings while staring at the ceiling, obtaining +1 midshipman's uniform and unintentional (somewhat intentional) people watching.

Barring whenever it is that Mister Wellard walks into somebody for being preoccupied, that is. And the point in the day where he somehow accumulates a small following of ducks.

He's... he's not really sure what that's about. They're just sort of there when he's walking, hanging out when he sits down, occasionally demanding bread, which he obviously can't not get for them. They're talking ducks. He can only hold out hope that ducks don't have the ability to group into attack formations. ]

Judith. [She offers out a hand to him, a smile in her eyes as well as on her face.] Yourself?

[ He'll really have to get used to this shaking hands with ladies thing, won't he. :I ]

[Yes, yes you will m'boy.]

Oooh, quite the gentleman, with your manners and fine suit.

[A small smile. The duck in her non-shaking hand chirps.] You haven't been in Luceti long, have you?

[ He smiles back. ] Only for a few days. And yourself?

[temzan]

Ohh...not much longer than that. Just long enough to conclude that this isn't a dream that will pass.

Now..[She bends down to let the duck jump from her hand and rejoin the others.] Would that be some sort of uniform you're wearing?

[bravelad]

Ah- yes, ma'am. Royal Navy, ma'am.

[temzan]

How interesting. I've met plenty of sailors but never once were they part of a navy.

Do you enjoy it?

[bravelad]

[ His expression stiffens just a bit, but he takes no issue in answering. ]

For the most part, ma'am. I think... I believe the benefits still outweighed the risks, by the point of my arrival here.

[temzan]

Face a great deal of danger on the seas? [With a look up to the sky and the birds flying by.]

The benefits are usually much greater than the risks, in my experience. At the very least, you often get a story to tell others.

As much as one tends to find. [ Not quite always where one expects to find it, but that itself should be expected. He shifts on his feet. ] Experience speaks for a great deal more than contemplation, of course.
